Statement of Purpose

“To maintain, support and oversee all IT related matters in the Online Service Area of Cocaine Anonymous, liaise with the WSCITC, and cooperate with other OSA committees.”

OSA IT Committee Duties & Responsibilities

• To manage CAOSA software licenses and be of technical support to the groups and the other area committees.
• The OSAITC should advice on changes in the service manual regarding IT and online subjects in general.
• The OSAITC should manage the maintenance of the area website and make sure everything is up to date.
• To cooperate with the other OSA committees.
• That Groups.io, “OSA Chat & Fellowship” chat, and “OSA Business Group” chat, be administered through the IT committee.

Officers

Chairperson

Minimum qualifications

1. Two years continuous sobriety
2. One year of active service in C.A.
3. One year commitment

Recommended qualifications

1. Familiar with IT and related subjects/applications
2. A working knowledge of the 12 traditions and Robert’s rules of order

Description of duty

1. Presides over the meetings and arranges agenda
2. Encourage being of service in the committee
3. Interact with groups, other committees and the area officers
4. Coordinates tasks of the committee
5. Only votes in case of a tie
6. Represents the committee on the area meetings
7. Responsible for the administration of the area zoom accounts and related email accounts, including updating the access information whenever necessary.
8. Helps out with the administration of Groups.io

Vice-Chairperson

1. The same Qualifications as Chairperson
2. In absence of Chairperson performs the duties of the Chairperson, except for the administration of the area zoom accounts and Groups.io
3. Coordinates tasks of the committee
4. Becomes Chairperson, and assumes all Chairperson responsibilities, in event of Chairperson vacancy

Secretary

1. One year continuous sobriety
2. Six months of active service in C.A.
3. One year commitment
4. Keeps accurate minutes of each meeting
5. Keeps a record of minutes
6. Maintains contact list of all committee services positions and the start/end date of their term
